Geocache Description:

Terrain is rough and boggy.

In 1958 an Avenger spray plane crashed on Cloverdale mountain.The pilot was killed and the plane burned. Many people visited the crash site at the time but over the years with wood cutting and new roads being built no one has been able to locate it although many have searched, including us. A couple of days ago, a friend, Spurgeon Craig, noticed the sun glinting off a piece of metal and went to investigate and found it. We visited the site yesterday- not much left but interesting to see.
Be careful- torn metal is sharp!

This cache had gone missing for a 2nd time -so when Madpack & a group visited the site a few days ago he replaced it- it is now about 10 feet from the original co-ordinates. Thanks Madpack!
