Here's a Geocache where you can stretch your legs and try your hiking skills over the varied terrain of North Central West Virginia in Coopers Rock State Forest. You will be spending time in the Scott Run water shed, going south on the east side of Scott Run and returning north on the west side of Scott Run.
This geocache consist of eight stages and covers almost 6 miles. All stages are classic hides. Recall that the arrow does not always point to the best route to walk.
Solve the puzzle for the first stage. Coordinates for the other stages will be found along the way. None of the stages should be too difficult to locate. The fun is in the hike in the woods. Remember to bring your water bottle, first aid kit, compass, topo map, extra batteries and other items you feel you need for a hike in the woods.
Take proper precautions during the West Virginia hunting seasons.
