Geocache Description:

This cache is on an island in the south end of Jessica Lake, Manitoba situated in the WhiteShell Provincial Park region. There is a good public boat launch nearby and the coordinates are included as a reference point. The island is about 1000m from the boat launch. Approach from the south side is easiest and there are flat rocks to pull a boat up on.

The cache is a 6X6 lock-lock in camo with the typical cache items (logbook, pencil, FTF cert). Be sure to spend some time investigating. There is a neat little secluded pool hidden by rock slabs and it may contain some fish or other interesting critters! Lots of opportunity for some walleye fishing if the season is open! This cache should be accessible year-round. We found this spot while vacationing at the nearby Jessica Lake Lodge this past summer using their canoes and had a great time. (NOTE: you cannot go on this island if there is a ban on backwoods hiking due to fire conditions.)
