You are looking for Micro placed opposite five odd looking houses.
When you find the cache take a look across the road at the five flat-roofed houses. These houses were built in 1941. As you can imagine during the Second World War not a lot was being built apart from emergency prefabs. These houses are exceptions to the rule and were given special permission to be built.
Valley Works is only a short distance away, Most of the workers were local or lived close enough to be brought in by bus, the ones from further away were housed with local family’s. During 1942 work started at Valley on an Ultra Secret project to research and produce Atomic weapons. The scientists that worked on this project were housed in these specially built houses.
Since the scientists were working on such top secret work these houses were designed to withstand aerial attack. Very little wood was used in the construction. Essentially they are concrete houses with only a skin of Buckley brick. The roof and internal floor and stairs are all concrete. Likewise there isn’t much glass at the front, all the glass is at the back since if the street was attacked from the air the bombs would be more likely to be dropped along the middle of the road, as was the usual tactic.
The cache might contain a clue to find the bonus cache Valley Works “Woodside”.
