To find my cache, you need only answer these six simple questions:

A. If a certain plant was three feet taller, then it would be twice as tall as it would be if it were half a foot shorter. How tall is the plant?

B. A woman possesses 59 precious stones. Some are emeralds, some are rubies. The emeralds are carried in bags, nine to a bag. The rubies, being larger, are carried four to a bag. How many bags of emeralds does she have?

C. A man has eight horses. Four of them are white, three are black, and one is brown. How many of his horses can say that they are the same color as another of his horses?

D. A traveler became lost in the wilderness for five days. He walked a certain distance on the first day. On each subsequent day he travelled one mile further than he had on the previous day. At the end of five days, he arrived home having walked a total of fifty five miles. How far did he walk on the first day?

E. A trader purchased an item for $7, sold it for $8, bought it back for $9, and sold it again for $10. How much profit did he make?

F. I have a number of coins on my desk. Some are showing heads and some are showing tails. If I were to turn over one of the coins showing tails, I would have the same number showing heads as those showing tails. If, instead, I chose to turn over one that is showing heads, I would be left with twice as many showing tails as those showing heads. How many of my coins are showing heads?
