Another in the Forest Road Series
This series of caches is dedicated to the Forest Roads (FR) that wind around the Allegheny National Forest. There are over 1100 numbered roads and many more unnumbered oil development roads throughout the area. Without these roads a lot of caches would not be possible. Each road is built to exacting engineering specifications. Some roads are open for everyday traffic, some open only at hunting season, and some are closed for resource management. If there is no gate on the road it is generally drivable by anyone. If there is a signed gate motorized vehicles are not allowed. All roads are open for hiking and bicycling, even the gated oil and gas development roads. Enjoy the series and enjoy the roads.
