Coal Miner's Memorial Cache
NOTE: This is a physical cache. There is also an Earthcache (Arkansas Coal Mine's GC2HT00 hidden by edieo) near the location of the physical cache. Please be careful not to confuse one with the other.
This cache is located on the grounds of the Logan County Coal Miner's Memorial in Paris, Arkansas with permission from the President of the Memorial's Board.
Please only search for this cache during the day light hours.
You will be searching for a cammo covered pill bottle.
The Logan County Coal Miner's Memorial is a life-size bronze statue of a miner with his shovel, bucket and carbide lite. The names of those who worked, owned and operated the coal mines in and around Logan County are displayed on plaques set into stone surrounding the statue. On the grounds are items actually used in the various coal mines in the area, such as a Coal Car, Fresh Air Fan and a One Cylinder Gas Engine. The Museum contains artifacts from the days when coal mining dominated north Logan County economy: 1880s-1950s. A functioning blacksmith shop, brick walkways with names of coal miners, owners, operators; and tribute benches are also located at the memorial site.
The Logan County Coal Miner's Museum located at the memorial is open Wednesday - Monday from 11am - 5pm.
