How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Located in Burdi Park in Warren. Back by the dog park area. There's a parking lot and street parking along Pauline.

The park is open only during daylight hours.

A two stage multi cache. Both stages are an easy walk from the parking areas. This cache is being placed in time for my GPS Accuracy and Benchmarking event. The first stage has something to do with a benchmark. BYOP.

The waypoint for the first stage is more accurate then any waypoint that any regular geocacher could take. It was created by a surveyor using a high end GPS. They took readings for the National Geodetic Survey (NGS). So if your GPS doesn't read zero, then your GPS is off. The final is a different story. I used three GPS units to mark it for eight to nine minutes. I used a GPSMap 60C,a GPSMap60Cx and an eTrex Vista. I averaged those three waypoints for the final.
