Geocache Description:

This cache is in River Meadows County Park along the South Fork Stilliguamish River in Snohomish County.

This park is about 150 acres and has 6 miles of trails. Wandering about in the meadows is also fun and there are opportunities to see wildlife. You may notice notches in some of the old stumps from the pioneer logging days. These were put there by the loggers so they could place a "springboard" in the notch to stand on. They would then saw with their cross-cut saws above the hard swollen base of the tree. This basal wood was then considered too difficult to cut and mill.

SOME CAUTIONS:
-- in summer there can be stinging nettles near the cache. Protective clothing advised!
-- Don't use the cache coordinates for Google Maps driving directions to the park as it will take you to the wrong side of the river. Instead use the Park address:

River Meadows Park
20416 Jordan Road
Arlington, WA 98223
