This cache is to celebrate the 2011 Grand Final win of the Manly Sea Eagles.
Love them or hate them, they were the only Australian team good enough to stop the NZ Warriors from taking Rugby League's greatest prize overseas.
Mangroves, coastal salt marshes & swamp forests all occur here in Callala Creek Bushland Reserve.
Animals such as white breasted sea eagles rely on one or more of these special vegetation communities to survive.
The mangrove-lined mud flats and salt marshes along Callala Creek are rich breeding grounds for fish and crustaceans. They ensure that the local white breasted sea eagles have a continuous supply of food for their hatchlings.
Sea eagles build huge messy nests high up in tall trees and on cliffs. From these vantage points they can spot prey and look out for other preditory birds.
What Callala Creek Bushland Reserve lacks in cliffs it makes up in tall trees.
