A viewpoint/photo POI in OpenStreetMap led us to this place with
a fantastic view over Almiros Bay. We had always wondered how to
get there, now we know.
In the foreground you are overlooking the small village of
Likotinara. Down at the coast the view goes from Georgioupolis over
Rethimno up to Cape Lianos Kavos in a distance of over 35
kilometers.
To reach the cache area you have to drive to Kefalas and leave
the main road at N35 24.334 E24 14.951. Take the well prepared dirt
road to the parking area just below the antenna masts at N35 23.964
E24 15.324. If you don't like to drive your rented car on the dirt
road, simply leave it at the main road and walk down to the cache,
it's only about one kilometer.
The cache is a small green plastic box with a logbook and pen,
but no trade items.
