A rather new book, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane was written in 2006 by Kate DiCamillo. This story follows the life of a life-size china rabbit (Made of china, not from..) Follow Edward Tulane as he goes from stuck up rabbit, to a hobo, in this fun book about how life can take you where you don't expect it. A definite favorite bedtime read!
Rockman's park is a great place to get away into nature while still being in town. In the winter you can cross country ski or snowshoe. In the summer and fall you can enjoy taking walks under the shade of the numerous trees. Beware spring, however, you may lose your shoes in the mud.
