welcomes all to our 2012 Geocaching New Year's party to be held at
Cape Paterson on Monday 2 January 2012,
11.00am.
Come along and join us
for some fun and socialising as only geocachers can. New geocachers
are most welcome to attend as it's a great way to meet the local
geocaching community and pick up some tips on finding and hiding
caches.
Where the
event will be held.
The event will again be held at Allan Birt Park which is
near the Kywong camping ground at Cape Paterson. It will begin at
11 am and carry on till around 3.00pm. We have been camping
at the Orana camping ground (just 200 metres away) every Christmas
for many years so there may even be some of the
“locals” joining us to see what we get up to. There are
a few geocaches in the area and heaps on Phillip Island which is
just 35 kms away.
Facilities.
Electric BBQ facilities are available, but feel free to bring along
your own everything, or you can buy your lunch from a nearby Take
Away shop.
Entertainment.
We are working on a couple of interesting games designed to make
cachers mingle, so hopefully there will be something to entertain
you with, otherwise it will be just a good chance to catch up with
other cachers.
Once again - and only if you really must - you can swap geocoins
and travel bugs at the event. But please make sure you clear them
from the tables before you leave and log them out of the event
page. You have no idea how many emails we received from interested
parties about what has happened to their precious little trinkets
after the last event. Which btw there are still 2 unclaimed! Told
you they were a nuisance!
