Hello and welcome to my 89th cache hide. Nothing special needed here in the way of fancy HTML code, so I am putting together a basic text driven description.
Discovered this location while waiting to catch up with Marty (Quasar3671) who was heading up for the weekend. Drove into the Strathmerton Recreation Reserve, and ended up on what looked like a unkept / unused / abandoned golf course.
The grass is long, and the greens look dead, although the course is listed as a playable course on golfing sites and I can find no information to say the course is abandoned. It may just be seriously between mows....
The course is listed as an unmanned course, where you make a donation to play of $5 for 9 holes, which is what the course is listed as, a 9 hole course. So make your own mind up as to the course status.
The cache has been placed off the main course area and is a small 700ml screw top fruit container. See the hint for some more information.
PLEASE BE WEARY OF SNAKES WITH THE KIDS. I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY HERE IN THE SHORT TIME I WAS ABOUT PLACING THE CACHE, BUT IT IS AUSTRALIA, AND CAUTION IS ALWAYS ADVISED.
