Geocache Description:

[ENG] Orissaare song stage was built in 1949 - 1951 on what used to be the grounds of Orissaare manor and was demolished in 21st century because of damage and threath of falling apart. In about 1980 the song stages design was changed a bit. Main building material of the song stage was wood.
On the song stage all the bigger public events were held like St. John's bomfires, local dance and song festivals, dance nights etc.
Territory of the song stage has been made nicer during "Let's Do It" Civil actions day. Local government has planned to rebuild the song stage - for now only some of the benchrows have been restored.

Cache has been restored to a new location a bit closer to the song stage. No need to climb anywhere now. Cache size remains the same.

NB! When hiding back, make sure there will be nothing to see afterwards.

[EST] Orissaare laululava ehitati aastatel 1949 – 1951 oletatavale endisele Orissaare mõisa maale ja lammutati 21. sajandi algul, kuna oli ohtlikult mädanenud. Laululava ehitati ümber umbes 1980. aastal. Ehitusmaterjaliks oli puit. Laululaval toimusid kõik suuremad rahvaüritused sh jaanituled, kohalikud tantsu ja laulupeod, tantsuõhtud jne.
Laululava territooriumi on korrastatud ka Teeme Ära talgupäevade raames. Planeeritud on ka laululava taastamist- praeguseks on üles ehitatud vaid osa pingiridasid.
