(FR) La Ferme d’Alvaux est l’une des exploitations agricoles les plus actives à Perwez. Dirigée par un couple sympathique et énergique, elle est surtout axée sur la production de lait. Les 125 vaches y produisent chacune 8000 litres par an, bien au-delà de la moyenne wallonne. La Ferme d’Alvaux ouvre ses portes chaque année fin juin lors des Journées Fermes Ouvertes, permettant à un large public familial de faire plus large connaissance avec le monde agricole. Cette cache a été inaugurée le 23 octobre 2011 au cours de l’Event « CITO Perwez ». Elle se trouve sur l’itinéraire de la multicache de 7 km « La Marque Jaune » (visit link) .
(EN) The “Ferme d’Alvaux” is one of the most dynamic farms in Perwez. Efficiently managed by a couple of sympathetic farmers, it is mainly oriented to milk production. 125 cows produce about 8000 liters yearly, far beyond the mean milk production in Wallonia. Each year end June, “La Ferme d’Alvaux” opens its door to the public during the Open Farms Day (Journée Fermes Ouvertes, JFO), offering a great opportunity for families to discover the agricultural world. This cache has been created on Oct 23rd, 2011 for the “CITO Perwez” Event. It is part of the 7 km multicache “La Marque Jaune” (visit link) .
