This challenge is modeled on a similar challenge cache by rscout79.
With some modifications, here's the challenge:
To qualify for this challenge cache you must first find a number
of caches to match the year in which they were published from the first year of
geocaching (2000) through the year of this cache's publication (2011). That is,
you must find and log one cache which was published in 2001, two caches
published in 2002, three
caches published in
2003, and so on up to eleven caches published in 2011. 2000 was a freebie
since it ends in "zero". This will total 66 caches. All 66 finds
must take place by you after the date
of publication of this cache (October 13, 2011). For
some of your caches the year of publication might differ from the year the
cache was hidden. Please
check carefully.
If you cache as a team (married couple or "BFF", for example),
the person who logs this cache must have been present at and must
have logged ALL of the qualifying caches. Either
husband found and logged all of the caches, or wife found and
logged all of the caches, or they were both present at the
finding and logging of all the caches. In other words, one partner
of a team may not find some of the caches and the other partner
find the rest. That's to make this cache fair to solo cachers. You
are on your honor for this requirement.
Prior to finding and logging this
cache, either send me a list or a GSAK
file of your 66 finds in chronological order by date of publication, or post a bookmark
list of your finds in chronological order by date of publication. (GSAK uses "Placed
Date". If the year of publication differs from the year the cache
was placed/hidden, you will need to take this into account.)
Whichever method you use to notify me, be sure to
include the date you logged each
cache.
To verify when a cache was published, scroll down to the very first
log of the cache. This would be a log by the reviewer, or in cases
of very early caches, such as
this one, it would be the first "Found" log.
This cache is off the beaten path, but in an obvious hiding
place. Please replace the camouflage material carefully and inspect
from all angles to ensure adequate coverage. Other cachers should
not be able to tell that you've been there. Leave nothing behind
but the cache and footprints, please.
This cache was placed on UWF property with permission. The
university is supportive of geocaching and has been gracious enough
to share its wonderful campus, including wooded areas, with the
caching community. Please be respectful of the university's
generosity and do not damage or cut vegetation in any way. Visit
this
cache page for links to maps and more information about caching
on UWF property.
Thanks to rscout79 for the idea of this caching challenge, and
thanks to Team Skycop for introducing the statement about being
respectful geocachers.
Ummm, I forgot to place a pen in the container. But y'all are
professionals and would remember to bring a writing implement
anyway, right?
