Geocache Description:

This is the second in a series of three caches that I've placed around Ft. Holabird Park. This recreation area is on the fringes of an Army post that existed from 1917 until the seventies and served as a transport depot and as a center for Army intelligence and counterintelligence training.

Fort Holabird is gone now, but this green space and the adjacent industrial park remain. Colgate Creek runs through the park, and locals walk their dogs, play ball, and plant gardens here.

The park is on the site of a reclaimed marshland, so during rains, it can get very boggy. The creek nearby has long been an extremely polluted waterway thanks to runoff from the former Army post and the surrounding industrial area.

This cache is a two cup lock-and-lock container and is full of nice swag. Please rehide it well. Please do not attempt to drive to this cache. Park in the lot and walk down the road which has been closed to motor vehicles.

NOTE: NO CACHING AFTER DARK IN BALTIMORE COUNTY PARKS!
