This cache is not at the posted coords, but you will find what you need here to find the final.
This is one of a pair of two stage mystery caches that will take you around the new trail loop. At these posted coords you will find instructions on how to locate the final cache. Please do not take anything from the first stages or leave anything.
These caches will introduce you to the new Ray Lake Forest Preserve, the main parking and facilities are at N42*17.459 / W088*05.207. Entry also from Fort Hill’s north lot on Gilmer road and the new tunnel. 2.5 miles of packed sand trail loops around the preserve and also has some grass nature trails. The western side of the loop is also Fort Hill Trail; it begins at the Millennium Trail by Lakewood Preserve. These trails will in time connect to other parks and preserves to the north and east.

6/13/12 The parking and trail tunnel for Ft Hill are open N42*16.746 W88*05.363 on Gilmore Rd. Parking for Ray Lk F. P. has been open N42*17.459 W88*05.207 on Erhart Rd.
To locate the final(s) you will use the color code for the electronic component “Resistors” We’ll be using 5 band resistors, the first 3 are the values to use, the other 2 bands, the multiplier and tolerance won’t be used. You don’t need to know amps, watts, volts, etc., but you will need to know the color code and how to combine multiple resistors in series and parallel configurations for the equivalent resistance. A meter will not help but a calculator, pen/pencil & scratch paper may be helpful.
