Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve. A quick cache, not far from the new trailhead off of the Boccardo Loop Trail (set to open on October 22nd, 2011). Please check OSA Website for trail conditions prior to hunting this cache.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, October 22nd, 2011 - and watch the website for more details about Sierra Vista Opening Day activities (including an event cache) and guests.

Climb up out of Alum Rock Park via the North Rim and Todd L. Quick trails. Pass through the gate at the top of Alum Rock Park and follow the Boccardo Loop around to the right and climb your way to the top in to the Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve. This cache is placed a handful of yards from the new trailhead to the Sierra Vista Trail trail.

Please note: No Access is permitted beyond this gate. Do not hunt SV03 from this trail! Thank you for your attention to this detail.

Access to this cache is only through Alum Rock Park. Parking in Alum Rock Park is $6 per vehicle. The park is closed every Monday. Do not hunt this cache on days when Alum Rock is closed.


This cache was placed and is maintained by Open Space Authority volunteers under the guidance and supervision of the OSA.
