On March 6, 1911, a group of faithful Dutch settlers decided to erect a small church building, 16' X 24', which was completed that summer. The congregation gathered here on the plot east of the cemetery until June of 1961. The old church has been taken down and only the well kept cemetery remains as a mute testimony to the loyal pioneers and their faith.
On their 50th anniversary, they built a new & larger building 1 mile east and 2 miles north of the cemetery which is the present site of Burdett Christian Reformed Church.
In 2011, this church celebrated its 100th anniversary! This cache was hidden for a youth event to introduce them to geocaching. BYOP
