WATER + SUN + PLAY=HAPPY WOLVES!
In the "old days" of caching, you could look around the Twin Tier area and find many "Happiest Place On Earth" caches placed by boating enthusiast cacher Team Proline. They were located at river access points from Binghamton to Elmira and everywhere in between along the Susquehanna river. Sadly, over the years they have been archived. But there are still some active ones which are placed on the shores of a couple of the finger lakes!
Wolves like the water too, although we don't use a boat.......we jump right on in! This river access point is in an area which the K9's and I used to visit on hot summer days all the time when we lived out this way.
You are looking for a container placed in such a way that will hopefully protect it from the same river which can cool hot paws on a summer day....but which can also ruin lives when it is in rampaging flood.
