Ranging from Hachioji to Nikko for the maintenance work in the Nikko during the Edo Period hachioji sennindoushi ri 40 (160km approx.) Wakioukan the road belongs to. In the roadside which had been called as nikkodou, was called to distinguish it sennindoushinkaidou nikkokaidou.
At present, 407 national highway between Tsurugashima from Hidaka, Saitama Prefecture, "Nikko Kaido avenue of cedars" are still under the name of the cedar trees.
Cache is the avenue of cedars hid the Hidaka.

江戸時代に八王子千人同心が日光勤番のために整備した八王子から日光へ至る、
40里（約160km）の脇往還に属する街道です。沿道では日光道などと呼ばれていたが、
日光街道と区別するために千人同心街道、日光火の番街道、八王子街道、館林道、日光脇街道などとも呼ばれました。
現在でも、埼玉県日高市から鶴ヶ島市にかけての国道407号は「日光街道杉並木」という名称で杉並木が残っています。
キャッシュは、杉並木の日高側に隠しました。
