Takahagi former airport, December 1938, Army Air Academy (current Iruma) was used as the start of Takahagi detached classroom.
At the time this land, as land had been reclaimed from the forest by settlers of Hokkaido, was requisitioned as a military reservation with the expansion of the Incident nikka.
The airport is large, 1700 m east-west, 1300 m north-south, an area of 220 hectares, as the main building of the aerodrome facilities, hangars warehouse 4 (including two steel warehouse), Inc. Headquarters (2 floors), 2 barracks building (2 floors), warehouse equipment, garage, general affairs office, auditorium, waiting room for noncommissioned officers, there were buildings for cooking.
Flight training, including training aircraft were performed using the Type 95 was primarily known as known as akatonbo.
Until February 1945, a military academy student airline flight training field, plays a major role, as the airport was used until the end of the war in August 1945.
If you look at Google maps, etc., the road in the area, which looks like a rectangle, I can imagine that the perimeter was the airport.

高萩飛行場は、昭和１３年１２月、陸軍航空士官学校（現在の入間市）の高萩分教場として使用開始されました。
当時この地は、北海道などからの入植者によって山林が農地として開拓されていたが、日華事変の拡大に伴い軍用地として接収されました。
飛行場の規模は、東西１７００メートル、南北１３００メートル、面積は約２２０ヘクタールで、飛行場設備の主な建物としては、格納庫4庫（内2庫は鉄骨）、本部舎（2階建）、兵舎２棟（２階建）、機材庫、車庫、庶務事務所、講堂、将校下士官用控室、炊事用建物などがありました。
飛行練習は、主に通称赤トンボと呼ばれていた９５式練習機などを用いて行われた。
昭和２０年２月まで、航空士官学校生徒の飛行練習場として、大きな役割を果たして、飛行場としては、昭和20年８月の終戦まで使用されました。
グーグルマップなどで確認すると、この一帯の道が碁盤の目のようになっており、その外周が飛行場であった事が想像できると思います。
キャッシュは、高萩飛行場跡地の一角である高萩北公民館に隠しました。
月曜休館日、午前8時30分から午後10時まで （日曜、祝日は開館日は午後5時まで）
少し離れた場所にある神社にも、記念碑が建てられてます。
