Named for the dead tree on the summit... or... maybe it's just in hibernation for the winter.
This is an extensive regional park with many trails and beautiful vistas. From either end it's about a 2 mile run, hike or bike from parking. The terrain is a bit challenging for youngsters. A good cache for winter (if it's dry). If it's summer, bring water. There's a nice shade tree at the cache but precious little shade getting there.
The original container was taken by coyotes. I've replaced it with a camoulaged ammo can. Let's see them bite into that!.

I have another cache in this area, so you can do a twofer. If you do the other cache first, it's downhill to this one. Otherwise, the final 400 feet is up a steeeeep hill.
