How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

You will be going on a driving adventure throughout Northridge looking for 4 checkpoints before you hike to the cache hidden at the 5th coordinate. At each of the checkpoints you will find metal “dog tags” with the coordinates to the next checkpoint.

You get the excitement of searching out different coordinates in your car and ending with a short and beautiful hike. The total driving distance is 8 miles and the hike is about 1 mile round trip. (IMPORTANT: Read the previous find logs. Approaching from the top of the cache should be much easier) There is a creek involved so wear the appropriate shoes. DO NOT FOLLOW YOUR GPS AS THE CROW FLIES, if you cross the ravine too early it will be very difficult terrain.

The cache has been hidden VERY WELL so you might need to use hint #5 to find it. With the hint it's easy, but if you can find the cache without it you are a true Geocaching expert. Please re-hide it just as well or better than how you found it.

Write down the secret code found on the inside cover of the log book and then visit the “Classified Operation…Access Denied” cache page. Click here to go to the page.
