Geocache Description:

Although Burnie is known as an industrial city there are parks and walking tracks in the middle of town and on the outskirts.

Fern Glade is home to manferns, myrtles, eucalypts, wattles and a dozen different kinds of orchids. It is also the home to platypus and many different types of birds. There are several marked walking tracks, bbq and picnic facilities and it is a very peaceful place to unwind, not that far from the middle of town.

This reserve was badly affected by floods last January and the bridge across the Emu River still shows the scars.

The cache is a micro and contains only a logbook, please bring your own writing implement.
PTC October 2011 pathtag for FTF.
