A very pleasant walk in the countryside to the west of
Slaughterford. The route is just over 4 miles along footpaths,
bridleways and an old coach road. There are some ascents &
descents but nothing too difficult although the whole route is not
suitable for buggies or wheelchairs as there are stiles and mud
after rain. There are nine caches and if you collect numbers from
each cache en-route there is a tenth bonus cache. Parking is
available at a lay-by on the A420, this is a busy road, it is only
a short walk to the first cache but do take care. You will need to
cross the A420 twice but visibility is good at both points.
From the parking walk west along the road for about 80m then
turn left down the bridleway.
For the second cache head straight down the track taking the
right fork at the cottage. The path here is quite rough & rocky
so take care. Continue downhill to the stream.
Congratulations to the Black and Tabby Family for the
FTF.
