A very pleasant walk in the countryside to the west of
Slaughterford. The route is just over 4 miles along footpaths,
bridleways and an old coach road. There are some ascents &
descents but nothing too difficult although the whole route is not
suitable for buggies or wheelchairs as there are stiles and mud
after rain. There are nine caches and if you collect numbers from
each cache en-route there is a tenth bonus cache. Parking is
available at a lay-by on the A420, this is a busy road, it is only
a short walk to the first cache but do take care. You will need to
cross the A420 twice but visibility is good at both points.
Carry on down the bridleway, the path is quite rough & rocky
in places so take care.
The path to cache 03 heads off to the right up the hill through
the woods. The main path is very rutted & muddy but just to the
left there is a footpath on higher ground.
Congratulations to the Black and Tabby Family for the
FTF.
