A very pleasant walk in the countryside to the west of
Slaughterford. The route is just over 4 miles along footpaths,
bridleways and an old coach road. There are some ascents &
descents but nothing too difficult although the whole route is not
suitable for buggies or wheelchairs as there are stiles and mud
after rain. There are nine caches and if you collect numbers from
each cache en-route there is a tenth bonus cache. Parking is
available at a lay-by on the A420, this is a busy road, it is only
a short walk to the first cache but do take care. You will need to
cross the A420 twice but visibility is good at both points.
After finding the cache continue along the track at the end look
out for the lovely donkeys in the field to the right then turn left
along the lane. Turn first right down the track which takes you
down the hill & past some cottages, carry straight on as the
lane becomes a grassy track then take the right hand path at the
fork.
Congratulations to the Black and Tabby Family for the
FTF.
