Geocache Description:

The Arizona desert has wonderful potential for photographs. This cache is devoted to those amateur photographs of the Arizona desert. Please bring photos to exchange.

The Arizona desert has a great many beautiful sites. This particular site is close to my favorite non-human photographic subject, the tall Jumping Cholla cactus nearby. I love the way that it looks in Thunderstorms, and when the lighting is perfect near sunset or sunrise, about 2 hours away, with Mt Wrightson looking absolutely wonderful.

Things originally include a photo gift certificate, a geocoin, and about a dozen of my own photographs.

This should be a nice, easy find, even for beginners. A bit of caution is required as there is the potential for muggles nearby (Although unlikely in the immediate vicinity of the cache, it still is in visible range). And, as always, please take the proper precautions for the desert.

Please, bring photos to trade here, and let's all get a better look at fine Desert photography! Non-desert photos are fine as well (A fair number of the original set aren't exactly native photos) All of my photos are 4x6, although the container would probably hold 5x7's as well.

EDIT: The cache has been moved to a new location, namely that of my second favorite cactus photo subject in the area. The subject is a Staghorn Cholla cactus. I love to get photographs here when there is a spectacular sunset. If I use a wide enough lens from a low enough angle, it looks like a pristine desert setting, something I usually strive for in my photography. It can be hard to find the perfect spot, but this is certainly one spot for me that is close enough to home I can get there before the sunset disappears.
