Geocache Description:

**The Coordinates are not correct. i will try to correct them on my next visit. if you find the Cache and get correct coordinates - please let me know**

Ideal for off-roaders, 4x4 and Mountain bikers – only 10 minutes from Kibbutz Sde Boker. Easy to find once you are on the Eilat Ashkelon Pipeline
Route is OK for cars in the summer but drive very slowly

This dirt track leads to some of the more beautiful views in Israel. The Cache is located approximately 10 minute drive from Road 40.
Access is from road 40, 2KM south of kibbutz Sde Boker where there is a brown road sign pointing to Maale Tzin. then via the Israel Nature and Parks Authority route marked White–Black-White. The route crosses the old Sde Boker air strip which was built for David Ben-Gurion the first Prime minister of Israel. From the end of the airstrip it is 800meters to the Cache.

Be advised:
1. While the route is drivable for most cars, there are big dips in the dirt track which can cause damage to the bottom of your car so drive very slowly.
2. In the winter you can expect the route to be muddy and more of a 4x4 route not suitable for regular cars.
3. There is no Internet or 3G reception in the area of the Cache

Once you start driving down the mountain you are joining the Eilat-Ashkelon Pipeline which carries oil between the two ports. It is managed by EAPC and you will find the Cache next to marker post 158200. Approximately 500mm North of the marker post

The Cache is in an oval plastic container approximately 200mm long with a red lid…don’t be confused by the label of chicken soup on it ..although Rachel does make a killer Chicken soup!

If you arrive here with a 4X4 make sure to continue to Ein Akev.

Feel free to use the items in the Chche
