This cache has been archived.

Sethnlyn: I'm so sorry I have to do this as Seth took an interest in this one, and only this one! I will replace it with something in the same 'area' but not the same place!

Geocache Description:

SETH’S 60th BIRTHDAY CACHE

On the 28th October Seth is 60….So I couldn’t let it pass without submitting another new cache.

You are looking for a camo nano.
Tides seem to be higher than usual at the moment! but this should not cause any problems as it is not on the water side of the wall.

The narrow Harbourside (Baiter) peninsula had not only been the site of a windmill but for plague burials ( in 1348), the town gallows, a powder House and an isolation hospital (last used in 1936).
The Powder House had allowed ships to off load their gunpowder prior to berthing at the nearby quay as a safety measure.

Congratulation for FTF Paxo Parrot

At low tide, the outline of the first public swimming pool can be seen. Built in 1890, salt water and tidal, it was replaced by one in Poole Park in the 1930's and more recently in 1974 by the Dolphin Swimming Pool in Kingland Road.

In 1966 reclamation of land started, making Baiter a larger area allowing many different recreational activities. and a cycleway linking the Quay to Whitecliffe and Sandbanks Road.

Please be careful when replacing this cache.
