Deep Woods III Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

rblaw: Lots of fallen timber made getting to the location almost impossible. And once I got there, no sign of the cache. There once was sort of a path that got you near the cache site. Falling trees eliminated it. I am not up to going through the ordeal to replace the cache.

Geocache Description:

Deep in the Barnes Park woods

Cache is a small lock & lock box that only has room for small coin sized trade items.

Do not try to bushwhack straight from the campground to the cache. Otherwise you may end up in a swamp. Follow the trail from the trail head to N 45° 07.906 W 085° 21.508. From that point there is what used to be a trail marked by blue plastic tape on trees. Some of the blue tape fell off. So I have marked some parts of the former trail with red tape. If you find yourself in a swamp you are off the trail. I describe it as a former trail because fallen timber has impeded travel. You will have to climb over fallen trees and work your way around fallen limbs.
