May 22nd, 2008: The day we joined Geocaching.com and our lives changed forever.
May 23rd, 2008: The day we found our first cache, and became hooked.
When we first joined GC.com we had a hard time choosing a name. At the time we didn't realize how important that name will be...so we chose two simple things and put them together. My firefighting badge number and one of my good friends was Principal of a Elementary school named Explorer so then it became what it is today; Explorer290.
Well the school closed down due to the 2008 recession, but I have brought you back because this is my 50th hide and of me hitting 2000 finds, so I wanted it to be special. The school is now a Church, which to get to this cache you must enter off John Rhodes. It's a smallish-regular size container so please bring some stuff to trade. I've had this container since last year when i won it at an SCGA event. It was made by Clan Riffster so it's worth being my 50th hide container. Enjoy the area, always CITO, and happy hunting!
