Geocache Description:



I was out enjoying a spectacular autumn Sunday in the Russian River area and thought this special bridge could use another cache.

One of the most striking things about this area is the juxtaposition of redwoods, river and rolling vineyards. The cache is located in a grove of redwoods on the west side of Wohler Bridge and a gateway to world class vineyards (see gallery photo).

The tree cover may be a challenge so that is a factor in the diffculty rating.

Please be aware of muggles though you should be relatively safe from their trespasses, and hide the cache as well as you found it. To get to the cache, you must enter the public fishing access gate on the east side of the parking lot. It’s only a minute or two walk, but if you’re going to explore the river and bridge for an extended period, be aware of a $6 parking fee if you don’t have a Sonoma County Parks pass.
