In honour of my father-in-law's recent passing, my kids and I decided to hide our first cache in "Grandpa's Honour". Located in Medway Valley Heritage Forest, a beautiful urban park setting nestled in Northwest London, Ontario, Canada.
Two access points should get you started:
- N 43° 1.516 W 81° 18.314 (better parking, shorter hike)
- N 43° 1.349 W 81° 18.564 (limited parking, longer hike)
Go into the valley, and past the large "guardian" trees. When the river ends, your real (but relatively short) trek to the finish begins!
Cache contains pen, log sheet, trinkets/toys, and $20 for first-to-find!
NOV 1ST UPDATE: Congratulations to Jacks2U for FTF! Apparently, coordinates to cache may be a bit off as my initial readings were done with a cell phone. If other geocachers can provide/suggest revised (and more precise) coordinates with handheld GPS units, please e-mail me and we'll update accordingly. Thanks!
