This cache has been approved by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources Parks & Recreation, and by the Superintendent of Coopers Rock State Forest.

Start this hike at the Clay Run Hiking trail head near the McCollum camping area entrance. The trail head is about 35 yards along the road from the parking area toward the overlook. The trail is a gated service road. You walk on this road all the way to waypoint #1. (If the front gate is closed/locked, not to worry. That just means you get to spend a little more time outside with nature. You can walk the roadway or take the roadside trail. About an extra 1.4 miles each way.)
