You should be standing near a marker telling about Whittington's Toll bridge. I think you will find it interesting to find how many people, wagons, and cattle could cross the creek in a single day. To the west of you is a DAR marker for the Santa Fe trail and to the east is a marker telling about Wittington and Old Allen. Please take time to enjoy the history of the surrounding country side.
