Another fishing spot for my muggleman, another cache for you!
Since I was a child and I used to see the barges go up and down the canal near my grandmother's house in North Tonawanda, I have always enjoyed visiting the canals. The Champlain Canal is no exception.
You can launch a boat here or have a picnic if you wish. I hear there are some kayak caches not far away.
There were conflicting hours posted for the park and the boat launch--both behind the same gate. Best if you come between 8 AM and 3 PM.
