a regular size,cache with logbook and tradeables
placed just off a public footpath running from flixborough to scunthorpe.this was placed in memory of our first cache find which is now archived.boulders gate.
A very strange tale;around 2 years ago i was walking with my family along this footpath when i stumbled across the cache at the nearby boulders.(some of you veteran cachers probably remember it)anyway we signed log made some swaps and reurned now and then,eventually we returned to find it gone.
about a year later discovered geocache.com.
recently we were in the area looking to place our own caches,and on the disused bridge found the old cache just hanging in plain sight.???
we read the logs and bobo frett,and jamie and kat had signed the logs recently,presumably at the bridge!anyway i remembered our 1st cache and realised it was boulders gate,so very puzzled went home to check its status(archived).
went back 2 days later to find it muggled,strewn over the area,so placed my cache at the bridge and thats why i am placing this cache here in memory of our 1st cache.
hopefully i have also answered a puzzle to bobo and jamie and kat!
now to the cache,it is easy to get this time of year,but i suspect summer may be nettle paradise.
it is in a nice area and fits in well with my other locaL CACHES,but this spot is prone to the odd flytipping,but is dealt with quickly by the council.when placed it had just had a good clean up.
so apologies if you happen to visit on an unfortunate date.where the cache is would not be in a direct fly tip area.
finally if you go up the path by the fence at the boulder why not visit the extensive cemetary and ruins in the woods on the hill(asignposted)or alternatively take a nice stroll along the fence to phoenix parkway local nature reserve.it really is a nice area .
