This cache is placed on the cliff-face overlooking the High Desert State Prison and the Southern Desert Correctional Center.
Exit off U.S. 95 onto State Route 172 (Cold Creek Road) and proceed past the two prisons. Park your ride on the dirt shoulder of the road and start walking. When I placed the cache I parked within .31 miles of the hide location. Total elevation gain is probably less than 100 feet, with almost all of it at the end of your hike.
