SWE: Silvermuseet har en ovanlig historia att berätta. Berättelsen om en ung läkare som kom till Arjeplog 1922 och som stannade återstoden av sitt liv. "Lappmarksdoktorn", Einar Wallquist, fascinerades av människorna och av landskapet, motiven i hans konstnärs- och författarskap. Och han samlade... Idag är samlandet, och dokumentationen av samernas och nybyggarnas liv, en gemensam angelägenhet för oss som bor här. Cachen består av en mindre burk med ett par bytessaker. ENG: Far in the north, among the vast forests of northern Sweden, at the foot of the mountains, among thousands of lakes and in the town of Arjeplog is the Silver Museum. The Silver Museum tells an exciting story: the tale of a young doctor who arrived in Arjeplog in 1922 and who stayed here for the rest of his life. Einar Wallquist, the "Lapland Doctor", was fascinated by the people and the nature, which served as subjects for him as an artist and an author. And he collected... Today his collection and documentation of the life of the Sami and the settlers is the cultural treasure that concerns all of us who live here. The Silver Museum is our common heritage. The cache is a small plastic jar with some trading items.
