Geocache Description:

This cache is situated on a public footpath which involves crossing rough grassland and climbing stiles. Not suitable for pushchairs or wheel chairs, sorry. If caching in the summer months then long trousers are advisable as the path gets quite overgrown. Parking is available in Preston village near the village hall. You can follow the public footpath across the road from there or alternatively you can park on East End road though please be considerate to residents.

You are looking for a small plastic box inside a dark blue waterproof bag. At the time of placing it contained a log book, pen, guinness pin badge, necklace and a 20 centimes coin.
The cache is situated on a public footpath that runs from Preston village to Lelley. It crosses fields and quite a few stiles (hence the name) so not suitable terrain for pushchairs or wheelchairs, sorry. We had intended to place the cache near a one of the stiles but then we found this spot and couldn't resist it - a perfect hiding place. There once was a stile here but now all that remains is part of a broken fence and you have to cross the field boundaries through a gap in the hedge and down a dip. It can get a bit muddy in wet weather so wear suitable footwear and long trousers to protect you from the nettles if walking in the summer. Searching for the cache involves a bit of scrambling among fallen branches and trees so a fun cache for kids. A lovely walk across the country side past ponds and wooded copses. It is only the sound of distant traffic that reminds you that you are not actually in the middle of nowhere.
Congratulations to john c31 for being the first to find it.
