This cache is in a 2 acre park that was originally part of the Saylor homestead and most recently the home of the Jeffery family. In 2011 the property was converted to a public park to enhance the community's experience on the Kalamazoo River. A pavillion was constructed in tribute to the family long associated with the property.
The Kalamazoo River is still undergoing cleanup operations following a major oil spill and is closed to all recreational uses. Please sit a enjoy the peace and quiet but avoid contact with the river.
