An der höchsten Stelle des Bergheimer Höhenrückens steht die Antoniuskapelle. Sie verfügt sogar über eine Aussichtsplattform, damit man die ohnehin schon tolle Sicht ungehindert genießen kann.
Hier kann man auch gut parken (Alternative zum Parkplatz bei der Kirche).
At the highest point of the hill of Bergheim there is a chapel consecrated to Saint Anthony. It even has a balcony allowing free views in all directions.

Das Kirchdorf Bergheim liegt auf einer halbinselartig aus dem Juramassiv vorspringenden Kuppe ca. 500 Meter über N. N. Wenn man über diesen Höhenrücken wandert, bleibt man unwillkürlich alle Augenblicke stehen, um die sich ständig ändernde Aussicht in nahezu alle Himmelsrichtungen zu genießen. Da es hier auch viele markante Wegpunkte gibt, hat mich das veranlasst eine Cacheserie zu legen. Es sind Traditionals, die unabhängig voneinander besucht oder aber in einer Runde erwandert werden können. In diesem Fall braucht man eine gute bis maximal drei Stunden, je nachdem welche Wege man geht und wie lang man suchen muss. Die kürzeste Strecke (auf Wegen, nicht querfeldein!) ist gut 4 Kilometer lang. Auf diejenigen, die alle Caches gefunden haben (egal in welcher Zeit und Reihenfolge) wartet ein Bonuscache (GC3A4PY). Notiert Euch dafür die Farbe und Ziffer des Plastikplättchens, das in den Deckel und/oder Boden jedes Behälters eingeklebt ist.
Eine wichtige Bitte: Bleibt auf den Wegen! Dort wo keine sind, benutzt die Traktorspuren oder Feldraine, auch wenn es etwas länger ist. Geht auf keinen Fall querfeldein! Das bringt berechtigten Ärger mit den Bauern.

The church village of Bergheim is situated on a peninsular shaped hill protruding off the Jurassic Mountains at an elevation of approximately 500 meters above sea level. If you are strolling over this ridge you will stop every now and then to enjoy the changing views into nearly all directions. As there are many distinguished waypoints here I was motivated to dispose a series of geocaches. They are traditionals which can be searched independently as well as in a round. In this case you will need more than one till about three hours depending what ways you choose and how long you need for searching. The shortest way (on paths, not cross-country!) is something farther than 4 kilometers (2,5 miles). For those who have found all caches (regardless in what time and sequence) a bonuscache (GC3A4PY) is waiting. Therefore it is necessary to write down the colour and number of the small plastic plate that is glued to the bottom and/or lid of every container.
An important request: Stay on the paths! Where there is none use tractor tracks or boundary ridges even if it is a detour. Never walk cross-country, please! This will raise serious conflicts with the farmers.
