Geocache Description:

Nice hike to a great view of the metro area on Jefferson County Open Space land.

The cache is for several reasons: 1. Honor the veterans who have served our country, 2. Honor mathematicians, engineers and anyone who who enjoys unique and interesting number sequences. 3. Thanks Jefferson County Open Space for allowing the public to recreate near the city. I really like red rock country, whether it be in the foothills of the metro area or in southern Utah or elsewhere on the planet. This red rock country is awesome. The cache is reachable from the Red Rock Trail at Red Rocks park. The cache is about 40 feet from the end of a side trail. (Stay on the trail as long as you can) Once leaving the trail, the surface is generally level and leads to an outstanding view of city. To make this cache even more fun, I originally placed it at 11:11:11 AM on 11/11/11. With the help of rolfdenver, the cache was relocated to N39 40.568 W105 12.433
