Geocache Description:

Peatlands Country Park, close to the southern shores of Lough Neagh, was established to promote and facilitate peatland awareness and issues.
Amongst the attractions in the Park are a minature railway and an outdoor turbary site where visitors can get the feel (and the smell!) of cutting turf. The Park is rich in insects, particularly butterflies, moths, dragonflies and damselflies. Many woodland and wetland birds and several species of waterfowl nest here. Red and grey squirrels, badgers and hares are also present, while lizards and newts can be found in the open bog areas.
Opening times:
Easter - end September: 9am to 9pm daily
October - Easter: 9am to 5pm daily
Visitor Centre and Train:
Easter - end September: 10am to 6pm daily
October - Easter: closed
Permission was granted for this cache by the warden at Peatlands Park.
The cache is a small camouflaged container with a logbook, pen and some swaps, near but not in the Bog Garden because it's too boggy.
This is the 3rd of a series of 5 caches in Peatlands Park. There is also "Derryhubbert Bog" cache in the park.
Happy Caching!
