RIBEIRA TEM-TE-NÃO-CAIAS
Em tempos atravessar este curso de água, sobretudo quando o caudal era grande, exigia equilíbrio e coragem. “Tem-te, não caias”, seria provavelmente, frase repetida naquele sítio, para alertar os viandantes dos riscos que corriam na travessia da ribeira. Eis assim que surge o sítio da Ribeira Tem-Te-Não-Caias, na freguesia do Porto da Cruz.
Esta multi-cache tem início no sítio da Terra Baptista, levando o geocacher a caminhar junto à Levada do Castelejo, que tem a sua nascente junto à Ribeira do Ribeiro Frio, até à Ribeira Tem-Te-Não-Caias. Ao longo de 5,5 km, e em 1,5 h, é possível desfrutar de uma agradável caminhada.
Deverá iniciar o seu percurso em N 32º46.037’ W 16º51.047’, estacionando o carro nas proximidades. Também poderá iniciar o seu percurso em N 32º46.003’ W 16º50.703’, mas já não encontrará lugares para poder estacionar o seu carro.

Depois de entrar na levada junto à seta “Referta” (N 32º46.003’ W 16º50.703’), e ter passado as casas que se encontram perto da levada, surge a 1.ª cache. Deverá recolher as coordenadas para a etapa seguinte e continuar a levada.
A 2.ª cache surge logo após a passagem de um poço à vossa direita.
Recolha novamente as coordenadas para a etapa seguinte e deixa-se seguir pela levada. Quando já se encontrar próximo do local, lembre-se que deverá seguir sempre a levada, de encontro à ribeira. Cuidado, não caia!
Poderá continuar na levada, até à estrada regional. Caso não vá só e não queira regressar ao local de partida, poderá deixar outro carro estacionado em N 32º45.294’ W 16º50.092’.
