Geocache Description:

Camo'd pill bottle under rocks/bush. A scenic drive on N.M. State Road 52 with no conveniences.

Placed here by the uuesley team and submitted by nodderbug, the Dusty Cemetery is in the southwest corner of Socorro County on SR 52, just a few miles from the Catron County line.

Just 1 1/2 miles north of here is the old town site of Dusty, a large ranching community. The post office at Dusty was operational from 1927 until about 1950.

Dusty is on Alamosa Creek in the upper portion of Monticello Canyon and 8 miles east of the Continental Divide. It is between the Gila National Forest and Cibola National Forest boundaries. Notable and historical peaks nearby are: Wahoo @ 8793 ft., Bay Buck @ 8493 ft. and Rock Spring @ 8255 ft. elevation.

This "Spirit" cache is placed in hopes of paying respect to the pioneer Dusty ancestors having 'gone' on before us, and, possibly picking up a bit of history of this area.

We solicit your support as a volunteer cacher to place a "Spirit" cache at a cemetery of your choosing.
